In 2015 TRu Brands Pty Ltd recognised a gap in the workwear space with a focus on user safety, comfort and reliability; delivered through product certification, innovation and tailored support.

The brand, TRu Workwear was developed off the back of this recognition and was centred around Australia’s harsh environment as we engineered a workwear range to cater to these conditions. TRu Workwear quickly became a staple in the heavy industrial sector on the west coast and filtered through product reliability into the eastern seaboard. On the back of its national success the range was expanded to include task specific solutions including the ‘X’ back rail compliant range and garments incorporating the VIC Rail Special Orange. 

In order to become a head-to-toe safety solution, TRu Brands immediately took on the opportunity to become the agent for the Force360 brand on the west coast. An opportunity for their distributors to have a one stop workwear and PPE wholesaler and go to market with leading, innovate products to compete against traditional multinational brands, with the security of exclusivity and increased margins.

Over recent years, Force360 has become known as the innovative force in the development of unique, task specific PPE for the Australasian market, and is synonymous in the drive to raise the levels of workplace safety through product certification. This determination has seen Force360’s industrial hand protection range be the first to meet both CE and AS/NZS hand protection standards and have them certified accordingly by the notifying body BSI Group.

In November 2018 Bata Footwear recognised the growth and high service levels TRu Brands was providing its distributor base and appointed them the exclusive master distributor for its entire Industrial Footwear range in Western Australian and the Norhtern Teritory. Bata safety boots and gumboots are sold and distributed across WA / NT from TRu Brands Bata warehouse hub in Perth’s south east.

In early 2019 the Graphex® range of gloves were add to the TRu Brands range. The first gloves in the world to incorporate Graphene yarn into their construction and provide new levels of mechanical performance with exceptional dexterity. Graphex® gloves remain the most technologically advanced cut resistant gloves available and are providing Australia’s leading businesses with the highest levels of protection, comfort and dexterity.

Shortly after the arrival of Graphex® hand protection, TRu Brands formalised its end user service offering by launching 360applied. End users and distributors alike can engage the 360applied program to conduct full site PPE audits and create task specific, tailored solutions to workplace hazards and safety issues. A free value add service sees a dedicated PPE specialist visit site to conduct the audit-based program.
